* Feldenkrais massage- This is a special kind of massage which alleviates sciatic nerve pain through awareness of movement. It involves learning to stand, sit, lift and bend in a proper posture so as to not injure your spine any more.
The other kinds of massage therapies include ischemic compression, gluteus medius, quadrates lumborum, cross fiber friction and alike. One thing which is common in all these massage therapies is that the sciatic nerve should not be meddled with during the massage therapies. Static compression or longitudinal strapping is one of the most common techniques and proves to be the successful one. Through this technique, depth of the muscle can be reached by the therapist.
The therapist and the patient should have a healthy relationship and good communication. This is essential for the patient to feel comfortable during the session. By using the massage techniques, required result can be achieved. It will result in curing the sciatic pain.
